10 Mm Glock Models - I bought a G20 from a Glock store a year ago and it has been a great sidearm to use on my farm in NW Colorado. I fully believe in my ability to handle any situation that may arise in this countryside. Recoil and muzzle jump are very manageable with Winchester silver tips. There is a top shelf sidearm for big game hunting.
I've heard it's the best weapon for the bear encounters I've been on in increasing numbers since last year's trout fishing.

Fieldstriping is a bit difficult with the short release slide - loading the magazine by hand is difficult.

I've since had a retro-installed release 'bar' installed, which makes cleaning up much easier after a day of shooting.
I also bought a plastic end cap for the weed next to the handle where the mag is. I've heard that dirt can get into the firing mechanism through there - but IDK that's for sure yet.
With a full mag, be sure to push it hard into the body of the pistol—it's a shame to drop the mag. Hopefully - the spring will soften a bit.
20 SF. My third Glock and my favorite 8 handgun. 15 rounds of 10 mm is a lot of power.
Glock G40 Mos: An Optic Ready 10mm Powerhouse
I bought the G20 GEN 4 about a month ago. I bought it at a low price. Even though I paid more, I'm still happy with the GLOCK GUY!
I went to the range last week and shot 3 different ammo. Blazer, SIG/SAUER, and Armscor. All 3 performed without any problem. But I will say that I like ARMSCOR the best.
I fired all the FMJs in single fire and semi auto. The gun works flawlessly! Of course, it's a GLOCK!
I have an old G19 from the early 1990's, it is still a great gun. I always carry it, or my RUGER 1911 45ACP when I first bought it.

I have a small 4 carry gun, but I like more power! BOSS, I.E. The wife likes a small gun. I never wanted to make him mad enough to shoot me. He's a better shot than me! His father raised him to NRA competition in the late 50's and early 60's, and he won many trophies, always beating the man! It never hurts!
I'm torn between 10mm vs .45 ACP. However, after reviewing several ballistics and performance studies, there is no doubt... G20 wins in all areas: muzzle and target speed and power, flight trajectory, etc. Although the ammunition is a little expensive, I am still happy that I got it. This is mainly for personal protection but if that black bear shows up in my yard again he might get a third shampoo!
I've been teetering on the edge of getting one of these for a while now. Never thought of Glocks because of the plastic and lack of manual protection. However, one of the .45acp landed in my lap and has greatly exceeded my standards-, in terms of ergos, simplicity, and weight. So this will be my first 10mm, based on previous experience with my Glock... 15 rounds of 10mm should be good for anything I'm going to encounter in the southern Rockies I call "home".
I am on my 2nd Glock 10mm and I love it. It packs a punch but is nothing "out of control". I'm not a big guy but the sights straight out of the box have been tweaked a bit for my taste (no additives, just stock) and hit my mark every time. Great weapons!!!

Glock 20 4 gen my first gun, loud and strong for my home defense especially for wildlife
This is my first gun, and like your first love, it will always be your favorite. In Houston, it's shorts-and-shirt season nine months of the year, and most of the time I'm carrying its little brother, the Glock 29. But when it's cold and I wear a jacket, I still pack the G20. With 16 rounds of hole punch, I think I can make anything that presents itself. If Sasquatch had made a bad decision to show up, the G20 would have more than regretted it. Love this gun.
My Glock 20 is my weapon for protecting my home, no harm intended but it is a weapon that protects me from wildlife and other intruders.
I have been looking for more powerful weapons than my 9mm and .45 ACP. Lots of recommendations for the 10MM so I used one of my Blue Label certificates and bought a Gen 4 G20.
Glock 20 Gen4 10mm, 4.6\
This weapon is a complete package. It is strong but manageable. It has good power and I would definitely use it for home defense or big game (ie bear). This is my 5th Glock and I love every one of them.
It will be interesting to see if the Gen 5 G20 will add to the mix if Glock ever produces one (of course it will be a new model number).
