Description: I want to present another lesson related to the military, but this time focus on something in the navy. I have a couple of lessons on two different military tanks, as well as some tutorials that teach you how to draw military weapons. For this tutorial, I will teach you "how to draw an aircraft carrier step by step". One thing I like to do is to draw things that no one else has, just to keep it original and creative. I know you must know by now, but I thought I'd put this on the table to let you know why I draw what I do. Well, let's continue this learning experience shall we? First of all, aircraft carriers are huge warships that remain statuesque on the high seas. The sole purpose of these ships is to allow aircraft to be deployed using quick commands. The aircraft will also return to the aircraft carrier and land and park until its next mission. I guess you could say these warships are floating airbases like airports. Now, the reason carriers stay out to sea is that it makes it much easier to attack and protect enemy aircraft, because the range is more accessible than being inland. By July of that year, Congress authorized all unfinished battleships to be upgraded or converted to aircraft carriers. Two battleships, Lexington and Sarastoga, were converted. Did you know that the first pad to land an airplane in the ocean was made of wood? That's right, in 1910, a polish named Eugene Ely flew his plane from an all wooden bar or platform. A wooden area above the ship's bow was built on the USS Birmingham. Isn't it cool? At the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor, the US had several aircraft carriers at sea. The three ships were not hit when the bombardment occurred because the aircraft carrier was not in the area at the time of the attack.
